The global communications firm FleishmanHillard has selected Michael Lynch, outgoing Student Government Association President, to participate in the prestigious Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship program. Lynch will begin his new role in June following graduation in the agency’s Chicago office.
In addition to serving as Student Government Association President, Michael also worked as the Diversity Assistant for the Office of Institutional Diversity Equity as well as a mentor for both the Men of Color Program through the Office of Multicultural Student Success and the Center for Access and Attainment.
“My passion for diversity has grown exponentially during my time here at DePaul. Working in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity under the tutelage of Dr. Elizabeth Ortiz, and the education I received in the College of Communication and the support of Dean Salma Ghanem and her entire team, has allowed me the unique opportunity to fuse my passion into a career,” Lynch said. “Being able to begin my career at an industry leader such as FleishmanHillard is an honor and a privilege.”
During the fellowship Lynch will contribute to high-caliber client work and to the new business process as well as participating in professional development and mentorship activities.
