Degree Completion Requirements

For more information about completing your degree in the College of Communication, including how to apply for graduation, refer to the Degree Completion Requirements/Graduation page.

Picking Up Tickets, Caps and Gowns

Prior to commencement, graduating students should stop by a Commencement Kick Off event to get tickets, caps and gowns, and other important information about commencement day.

Commencement Ceremony

The next College of Communication commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. The ceremony will take place at Wintrust Arena, located at 200 E. Cermak Rd., Chicago, IL 60616.

  • Tickets are required for commencement, with each graduate receiving six (6) free tickets.
  • Before the ceremony, graduates and their guests should become familiar with Wintrust Arena’s strict bag and purse policy, which prohibits nearly all purses and bags, and its list of other prohibited items. Everyone entering the arena will pass through a metal detector and security bag check.
  • We encourage graduates and guests to travel to Wintrust Arena via public transportation.

Visit the DePaul University commencement website for full details on all commencement ceremonies and events.
