As part of the Center for Communication Engagement, the Open Learning Project (OPL) engages with the DePaul community to address important topics and issues from a communication-based perspective. Through research, processes, and practices based in the communication discipline, OPL seeks to motivate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and our community and professional to partners to address the pressing societal issues of our times.

OPL develops communication-based tools, frameworks, and programming to motivate engagement and explore communication-based interventions. Through themed projects and open education resources, OPL informs teaching, research, and service in the Vincentian ideal for the DePaul community and beyond.

What are open educational resources (OER)?

Open educational resources (OER) are materials that are in the public domain or released under an open license that permits free use.

A primary goal of the Open Learning Project is to create a collection open educational resources focused on different themes and topics. Resources can include events, learning modules, activities, lesson plans and more.

To learn more or participate in an OPL project contact the College of Communication at communication@depaul.edu.
