About Journalism at DePaul

The Journalism program is located at DePaul's Loop Campus in downtown Chicago, giving you access to local media outlets and news organizations throughout the city.

More than a degree, you’ll gain a professional network and industry connections

You’ll meet leaders in the journalism industry via faculty connections, classroom guest speakers, Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence events, Journalism program events, alumni events, and job and internship fairs.

Our faculty bridge the gap between academic and professional worlds. Your professors are veteran reporters, editors and producers who are ready to connect you to professional opportunities. Learn more about our faculty.

Write, edit, produce and publish real news

You'll write stories that matter—producing clips, writing stories and editing peer work for class-run blogs, partner publications and student media. In addition to earning credit and grades, you'll have opportunities to publish and distribute your work.

Build your portfolio and expand your network by joining student media as a contributor or editor. Learn more about Student Media
