College of Communication faculty lend their thoughts and expertise to a couple of pieces published in the brand new Summer 2015 edition of the university’s
DePaul Magazine.
Public Relations and Advertising’s
Teresa Mastin discusses some of the communication difficulties surrounding the vaccine debate in
"Public Health at Risk".
Intercultural Communication’s
Barb Willard is quoted in the cover story,
“Preserving Pullman”, which explores the urban planning and labor history of this far South Side neighborhood. Willard discusses the famous Pullman porters, who fought to achieve recognition as a bargaining agent. The Pullman Historic District was recently named Illinois’ first national monument, so there’s a lot of excitement about the community right now.
