is quoted in the cover story, “Preserving Pullman”
, which explores the urban planning and labor history of this far South Side neighborhood. Willard discusses the famous Pullman porters, who fought to achieve recognition as a bargaining agent. The Pullman Historic District was recently named Illinois’ first national monument, so there’s a lot of excitement about the community right now.
