Taylor Brandon, a senior in
Public Relations and Advertising, was chosen as a Frank Karel Communications Fellow for the Summer of 2014.
DePaul Magazine previously covered Taylor’s time working with the fellowship and the Food Recovery Network (FRN), a Washington, D.C. nonprofit organization that partners with college campuses to fight food waste and raise hunger awareness.
Taylor recently spoke at a Frank Conference and let us know how much the opportunity the fellowship offered her has meant.
“I found out about the opportunity through DePaul and I am so grateful for the experience," said Taylor. "Out of seven fellows, three of us were chosen to speak at the Frank Conference this past week. I was one of the speakers and it was a fantastic experience.”
For her speech, Taylor shared insight into the knowledge she gained during her fellowship. She also presented a children’s book,
Bella Ballerina: Sugar Plum, Apple, Banana Fairy, she created as part of the experience.
