The DePaulia

The DePaulia is the award-winning newspaper produced by students at DePaul University. The paper publishes every Monday during the school year. The paper's website, depauliaonline.com, also publishes Mondays and updates regularly to report on breaking news.

The DePaulia staff covers news related to the university and the Lincoln Park and South Loop communities, and stories in La DePaulia cover news relevant to the Latinx community. Sports stories cover a range of issues, from the accomplishments of student athletes to basketball ticket sales at the university. Other features can range from where to get the best deals on groceries to fashion advice for college students.

Get Involved with The DePaulia

Any DePaul University student can contribute to The DePaulia as a writer, editor, photographer, multimedia producer or another related skillset.

Many journalism instructors will take good work produced in their class and submit it to The DePaulia editors for consideration. The Writing for The DePaulia (JOUR 390) course, which is open to all students who have taken Introduction to Journalism (JOUR 275), regularly sends stories, photos and videos to the paper.

Martha Irvine​ serves as the faculty advisor for The DePaulia.
