Arab and Middle Eastern Journalist Association DePaul Chapter

AMEJA Logo

The purpose of the DePaul chapter of the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association (AMEJA) is to support journalists of Middle East and North African descent and to educate journalists to improve coverage of the region in the news. AMEJA DePaul is only one of a few student chapters nationwide and the only chapter in the Chicago area. The chapter was established in Spring 2024 by undergraduate student Isabella Ali, 2023-2024 President of the DePaul Student Government Association, and journalism faculty member Robin Hoecker.
