Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Communication prepares graduates for emerging career paths in the sports industry, merging foundational communication skills with other areas such as sports sales and marketing, media relations, video editing, and social media analytics and management.
The Sports Communication BA offers concentrations in
Sports Promotion and Publicity, and
Sports and Society. Each concentration will enable you to develop oral, written and visual communication skills to research, design, present and evaluate messages across a variety of platforms, including social media and digital communication technologies, all while analyzing the economic and societal impact of the sports industry.
Students pursuing a BA in Sports Communication also have the opportunity to apply for the combined bachelor’s + master’s degree program—completing coursework at an accelerated pace, saving time and money.
High-achieving first-year students can choose to complete the combined bachelor's + juris doctor (JD) program to earn a bachelor's degree and law degree in a total of six years.
