Our graduate student ambassadors play an important role in the admission process by helping prospective students learn what it's like to be a College of Communication student at DePaul. Ambassadors work closely with the Office of Graduate Admission to help with information sessions and answer questions for prospective students.

Application Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a College of Communication graduate program (master's degree or certificate)
- Must have at least two full quarters remaining before graduation
Areas of Outreach and Expectations for Student Ambassadors

Event attendance: Each quarter you must attend:
- At least one prospective student event (e.g., bi-monthly information sessions)
- At least one other event (e.g., graduate student open houses, academic spotlights, new graduate student orientations)

Respond to emails from prospective students: Prospective students can email you with questions through an online inquiry form, and we ask that you respond to inquiries within 48 hours (Monday-Friday).

Website information: Your name, picture, program and brief bio will appear on the
graduate ambassador website.
Student Ambassador Role at Events
- Help with setup, check-in and other event logistics
- Take part in panels as a current student representative
- Moderate chats and manage questions for online events
- Interact with prospective and current students by email, phone or in person. Answer questions about DePaul, the admissions process and your experience as a College of Communication student.
Training
All student ambassadors need to complete an online training in DePaul’s D2L system. You will schedule a training with the
Office of Graduate Admission if you are selected for an ambassador position.
We may hold additional training sessions and team meetings throughout the academic year.
