Public Relations and Advertising graduate students have been selected to receive scholarships from
The LAGRANT Foundation, an organization that for 16 years has granted generous scholarships to “students from ethnically diverse backgrounds pursuing careers in advertising, marketing and public relation.”
We’re proud to announce that graduate students Lily Kim and Luis Sanchez were selected to receive $10,000 scholarships from LAGRANT.
“Lily and Luis teamed up to lead a team that successfully defined both a strategy and powerful executions for the first annual College of Communication Symposium, this one being on the topic, "Making Meaning of Violence”, said PRAD Instructor Ken Krimstein. “In fact, their team's efforts stood out for the thoroughness and professionalism of their overall presentation. They blended understanding of the principles of marketing communication, with a lively, probing, creative approach to what's happening — today. Two strong thinkers, two strong doers.”
The LAGRANT Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships, internships, career & professional development workshops and mentors to African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Native American/Alaska Native and Hispanic/Latino undergraduate and graduate students.
