Keynotes
Producer Keynote: Brannon Braga
Emmy-nominated Brannon Braga is currently a writer, executive producer, and co-creator of the drama series
Salem, WGN America’s first original series. Braga also served as executive producer and director on FOX’s re-launch of
Cosmos, the iconic 1980 television miniseries from Carl Sagan and as executive producer and Writer on FOX’s
Terra Nova along with Steven Spielberg. Prior to that, Braga was an executive producer and writer on the award-winning drama series
24. Braga also created
Flashforward and served as an executive producer on the series. Braga previously worked as writer and executive producer on the sci-fi drama series
Threshold.
Braga was a key creative force in one of the most enduring and well-known science-fiction franchises as a creator, writer and executive producer of more than 300 episodes of the
Star Trek series. For over 13 years collectively, he worked on
Star Trek: The Next Generation,
Star Trek: Voyager and
Star Trek: Enterprise. His film credits include
Mission: Impossible II,
Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. In 1990, Braga received the prestigious Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Internship, which led to his involvement with
Star Trek. He attended UC Santa Cruz.
Academic Keynote: Lincoln Geraghty
Lincoln Geraghty is Reader in Popular Media Cultures in the School of Media and Performing Arts at the University of Portsmouth. He has interests in science fiction film and television, fandom, and collecting in popular culture. He is author of
Living with Star Trek: American Culture and the Star Trek Universe (IB Tauris, 2007),
American Science Fiction Film and Television (Berg, 2009) and
Cult Collectors: Nostalgia, Fandom and Collecting Popular Culture (Routledge, 2014). He has edited

Writer Keynote: Lisa Klink
Lisa Klink started her career in the world of Star Trek, writing for
Deep Space Nine and
Voyager before coming back to Earth for shows like
Martial Law and
Missing. She’s also written two issues of
Batman for DC Comics and contributed a short story to the anthology
Empower: Fight Like a Girl. Lisa now writes novels, including three books in the
Dead Man series and
All In, co-authored with Joel Goldman. She’s also a five-time champion on Jeopardy!
