Therese earned her bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in mass communication, her master's degree in speech communication, with an emphasis on organizational communication, from Illinois State University, and her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School.
Areas of Expertise: Organizational communication, interpersonal and small group communication, and public speaking.
Therese is an adjunct instructor in the College of Communication, where she teaches Public Speaking and Introduction to Human Communication in the traditional classroom, and Introduction to Human Communication online. She has also taught Organizational Communication at the university. Therese utilizes traditional and modern techniques, such as meditation, in her instruction of core concepts, theories, and practical skill building in all of her courses.
Prior to joining DePaul University, Therese was full-time faculty at College of DuPage (COD). In addition to her traditional classroom instruction at COD, Therese developed courses and directed online instruction.
She designed COD's Business Communication course, the online Fundamentals of Speech Communication course, and the online Small Group Communication course.
In addition to her teaching abilities, Therese is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois. Her area of legal interest is immigration. She is also a devoted student, practitioner, and teacher of the art and value of meditation as a functional technique and skill to facilitate communication interactions, build self-esteem, relieve stress, and optimize one's daily life.
