Kristen Pengelly teaches courses in communication studies, primarily organizational and political communication. Kristen received her BA in business administration from Bowling Green State University, an MA in organizational and multicultural communication, and a TESOL certificate from DePaul University. Her professional background includes working at the Detroit Regional Chamber, House of Blues Chicago, DePaul University Campus Recreation, and for the Michigan Democratic Party. In her teaching, Kristen combines theory with practice, focusing on experiential learning and real-world applications. She is a member of DePaul's inaugural Civics Initiative cohort, an interdisciplinary effort dedicated to teaching civics across the curriculum.
