Stefanie Z. Demetriades is an assistant professor in the College of Communication, where she teaches courses related to technology and society, misinformation and polarization, intercultural dialogue, and health communication. Her research examines how people process and respond to challenging or uncomfortable information in health, science, and political contexts. She presents regularly at national and international academic conferences, and was recently selected for the highly competitive Fulbright US-UK Global Challenges Teaching Award. She holds a Master's degree in Public Diplomacy and a PhD in Communication from the University of Southern California.
