Jaime E. Bochantin, PhD is an adjunct professor of communication studies with a concentration in organizational communication. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational culture, leadership, training and development, organizational change, business and professional communication, research methods, negotiation, and conflict management, the capstone course and introduction to communication.

Her research intersects around the areas of emotion management, stress, work-life, and well-being in the workplace. By using both a theoretical and practical lens, Bochantin examines the social issues, member behavior and cultural landscape of organizations to provide managers and HR practitioners with strategies for the implementation of policies, practices and procedures to better the organization and relationships between employees and managers. While her interests and experience span many industries, a lot of her focus is on blue-collar organizations, including first responders and public safety employees. Her research has appeared in: Communication Monographs, Academy of Management Journal, Management Communication Quarterly, Small Group Research, Journal of Business and Psychology, International Journal of Business Communication, Women & Language, and Negotiations and Conflict Management Research (among others).

Jaime Bochantin is also the founder and lead consultant for Charlotte Consulting Solutions, a boutique strategic management consulting firm in Charlotte, NC. She regularly provides consulting and training workshops for organizations on team building, networking, behavioral styles, conflict resolution and negotiation, leadership communication, goal setting, developing a professional brand, and generational differences. She also leads company-wide teambuilding retreats and helps with internal talent management by creating professional development programs for current and emerging leaders. She is also a certified personal and professional coach and provides one-on-one and team-level mentorship at all levels within an organization.

Her book of business includes: The National Association of Realtors, Delhaize America, AAA Carolinas, Siemens, TIAA, Lowes, Rockwell Development, Union County of North Carolina, Hunter Douglas, The Association of Corporate Counsel, Saudi Aramco Oil, Bahrain Society of Training and Development, Tara Trask & Associates, PrimeGlobal, Kolb+Company, The Saylor Foundation, Chicago Police Department, Macomb Police Department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Calvetti Ferguson, and Milwaukee Young Professionals.

When time allows, she enjoys her monthly book club meetings, world travel, spending time with her spouse and two pups, hiking, competitive evenings of board games with friends and family, and reading stacks of books (usually several at once).
