A locally, nationally and internationally exhibited artist and designer, I specialize in photography, web design and bookmaking. I’m interested in how one's individual experience has meaning in a broader context and as a natural minimalist, I’m drawn to clean functional aesthetics.
Born in New Mexico but raised all over the West, I eventually made my way to the Midwest and obtained an MFA in studio art from The University of Notre Dame in 2007. Since then I have lived and worked in Chicago, Illinois.
A seasoned educator with over fifteen years under my belt, I currently teach art and design courses at DePaul University and Northeastern Illinois University. Working out of my studio in the Albany Carroll Arts Building, I’m periodically commissioned by other creatives to produce small, hand-bound editions of books, portfolios and zines. I also freelance as a web designer and developer.
Though a bit of a workaholic, when I do have free time it’s usually spent wandering the globe, rock hunting and dreaming of space travel.
