Jordan Stalker earned his doctorate in mass communication from the University of Wisconsin. His research interests are in ethnic media, communication history, journalism and public relations practice, global communication and media ethics. His work considers how communication mechanisms and ideologies can contribute to democracy and dignity, how journalism and public relations function in democratic societies and how media products and industries contribute to the formation of group and individual identity. His work has appeared in the Journal of Communication, Review of Communication, Journalism and Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly. His work experience includes time spent with newspapers, professional development associations, marketing departments of major corporations and in other media and communications roles.
