Seth Horning earned a BA in Communication from Olivet Nazarene University and an MA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Horning has worked in higher education for 12 years, spending the last eight years as an academic advisor. He is currently serving on the DePaul Academic Advising Network’s steering committee and Vision 2018 task force.
Seth's research interests focus on China in the U.S. media, and he loves reading Chinese history and books on current events in China. He enjoys serving the communication students and is always happy to sit down and talk with students about their goals.
Outside of DePaul, you will probably find Seth riding his bike to and from work, running in his Vibram Five Fingers (funny toe shoes according to his daughter), playing outside with his two children, or reading a good book.
