Renae Godish

Renae Godish brings more than 15 years of public relations, marketing and journalism experience to her role as adjunct faculty with DePaul University’s College of Communication. Most recently, she was a vice president with Hill+Knowlton Strategies in their corporate communications division. She led accounts and advised global clients including First Data, Ford Motor Company, Deloitte, IBM Watson Health and more. Previously, Renae worked at boutique public relations agencies representing nonprofit and consumer clients. She began her career as an editor of a community newspaper group.

Renae’s expertise includes media relations, financial communications, crisis preparedness, internal communications, writing and editing. She holds a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College.

During her agency years, Renae most enjoyed managing and mentoring junior colleagues. She brings this passion to teaching in the PRAD program. She is also interested in applying the business principles she learned as an MBA graduate and utilized as an account leader to her courses in public relations.

Renae lives in Chicago with her husband and daughter.
