Outside the classroom, Judy is a freelance copywriter, writing coach and marketing consultant who has conceived and written the words behind countless successful campaigns. She is widely published in Better Homes & Gardens magazine and book publications, including more than a dozen special interest titles.

In 2010, Judy was honored as a Woman of Spirit & Action and was nominated for an Excellence in Teaching award.
