With a background that includes digital marketing, shopper, retail, direct and brand, Janet is a fully integrated creative leader who has been directing multidimensional efforts for her clients for years. Considered a digital pioneer, she made online/offline programs a reality for many clients in the early days of the Internet, and has continued to do so as the world of digital and social expand. Her roster of past and current clients includes brands like Kmart, P&G, M&M Mars, ConAgra, Brown Forman, CVS, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Johnson & Johnson, Mizkan, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Nature's Way, and GSK.
Integration of creative messaging and a thorough understanding of the consumer is at the heart of Janet's approach to every assignment. A passionate leader, she believes in the power of teams and the power of creativity to solve complex business problems for clients.
She and her teams have been recipients of dozens of creative awards including Reggies, Effies, Golden Eagles, Echoes, Tempos, PRO Awards, Rx Awards, APMA Globes and John Caples awards. In addition, Janet has and continues to serve as a respected judge at numerous industry forums and award shows. Janet was named the Woman of the Year by WDMI in 2006, judged Cannes Lions in 2008, was a DMA Rising Star recipient in 2008, and is a frequent speaker at meetings and conferences.
Janet serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of Little City Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities. She teaches classes in advertising and digital as an adjunct professor, mentors future marketers, and had developed courses in direct and digital marketing. She is also a member of the Chicago Chapter of Legatus, and a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the Southern Illinois University College of Mass Communications and Media Arts. Janet holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a master’s degree in media communications from Governors State University.
