Jennifer Barron is an adjunct instructor in the College of Communication with a focus on communication studies. She taught at California State University, Long Beach (GO BEACH!) prior to joining DePaul University in 2015. 
 
Jennifer teaches courses in Business and Professional Communication, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Human Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Small Group Communication. 
 
Her academic preparation includes a BA in Interpersonal and organizational Communication and Sociology from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She also earned an MA from CSULB in 2009, concentrating on instructional communication, interpersonal communication, and negotiation and conflict resolution. Additionally, Jennifer obtained two mediation certifications – one in the Art and Practice of Mediation from the National Conflict Resolution Center in Rimini, Italy, and the other in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the Orange County Human Relations Council in Santa Ana, California.  
 
Outside of DePaul, Jennifer spent several years teaching group fitness classes in Long Beach, California, and the Chicagoland area until 2017. Now, you are likely to find Jennifer enjoying spending time with her daughter, volunteering for the PTO, managing the office at a CPA firm, attending and serving at her church, and traveling back to her home in southern California as much as time allows.
