Mike began his career in Chicago at a place known then as Tatham, Laird & Kudner, where he learned to write copy for such stalwart brands as Nabisco, Mr. Clean, One-A-Day and Equal sweetener. Time went on, and as the agency moved through the all-too-familiar journey of merger and takeover, ultimately becoming part of the Publicis holding company as Havas, Mike moved into the role of Executive Creative Director, overseeing all work for the agency’s 10 Procter & Gamble brands, and running global brands Head & Shoulders and Old Spice. After 16 years, Mike decided to explore the world outside of consumer packaged goods, and moved to Bozell/Campbell-Mithun, to ply his trade on the likes of Ace Hardware, The National Pork Board and Mutual of Omaha. He is currently ECD at Eicoff, a specialty agency in the Ogilvy network.
Mike is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio, and a huge Buckeye fan. He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, with five children scattered across the continent. When he’s not working, he’s likely to be buried in a book or his latest fiction project.
