The College of Communication's Public Relations and Advertising (PRAD) program was named Honorable Mention, Second Place, for Outstanding Education Program at the 2023 PRWeek Awards on March 16, 2023. Held in New York each year, this Honorable Mention marks another year of PRAD's long-standing national recognition for excellence with two previous first-place wins, three honorable mentions, and nine times as a finalist.

PRWeek names five programs from across the county for Outstanding Education Program Award consideration each year, and evaluates each school's public relations programs on curricular innovation, faculty members, enrollment, impact on the industry, and placement success. DePaul's PRAD program won the top spot for this award in 2022 and 2018.
