LaDePaulia won impressive awards at this year's Peter Lisagor awards on May 9, 2025. The awards, held by the Chicago Headline Club, recognize excellence in Chicago journalism in honor of Lisagor's celebrated career.The DePaulia staff took home the award for Best Deadline Reporting. Lilly Keller, Lucia Preziosi, Rose O'Keeffe, Jake Cox, Claire Tweedie, Alyssa Salcedo, and Nupur Bosmiya were recognized for their comprehensive 17-day coverage of last spring's student encampment on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. Their reporting bested professional media outlets nominated in the same category.
