International Public Relations Class Visits Ketchum

International Public Relations Class visiting Ketchum's officesOn Thursday, Oct. 26, Prof. Nur Uysal took her PRAD 384 International Public Relations class to Ketchum Chicago for an agency tour. Ketchum is a global public relations firm, offering marketing, branding, and corporate communications services in the corporate, healthcare, food and beverage and technology industries. Owned by Omnicom Group, Ketchum ranks among the largest and most geographically diverse PR agencies and thus provides a great learning setting for the International Public relations students.

Uysal said: “Going on agency tours is a fantastic way for exposing students to public relations practice in order to get a feel for what life is like post gradation. It is a great way for networking as well.”

The best part about the Ketchum visit was to learn more about their current campaigns and to meet with the public relations team. Students enjoyed the presentations and benefitted from the insights into global public relations. They had enough time to ask questions and interact with the practitioners. Uysal advised students to make the relationships they just created count and keep in contact with the practitioners through LinkedIn and email.
