Judith Stern Friedman is an adjunct faculty member in the College of Communication at DePaul University. She has fine-tuned both face-to-face and online renditions of the college’s core writing course, PRAD 256: Writing for Public Relations and Advertising.

Outside the classroom, Judy is a freelance copywriter, writing coach and marketing consultant who has conceived and written the words behind countless successful campaigns. In 30-plus years of practice, her work has spanned the gamut of consumer, professional and business-to-business projects, many of which have won sales and marketing awards. She is widely published in Better Homes & Gardens magazine and book publications, including more than a dozen special interest titles.

Judy earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in advertising from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She shares her writing expertise through regular industry panel discussions, writing workshops, and high school ACT English and reading tutoring.

In 2010, Judy was honored as a Woman of Spirit & Action and was nominated for an Excellence in Teaching award.
