Professional Communication (PROCMN) graduate students complete real-world, hands-on projects as part of their coursework. The signature graduation completion requirement of the program is a final project. As part of a program capstone, students work on a final project for a partner organization, in which they use their communication knowledge and skillset to address a workplace challenge or opportunity. Final project partners have ranged from top multinational FORTUNE 500 corporations and fast-growing startup companies to community-based nonprofit organizations.
Graduating professional communication students share highlights of their final projects through presentations at the PROCMN Final Project Showcase, an annual virtual event that connects students and faculty with communication professionals, including program alumni from organizations like CME Group, Feld Entertainment, ITW, JLL, McDonalds Corporation, Servicenow, United Airlines and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Each Final Project Showcase features a keynote presentation with career advice by a respected senior communication leader.- Stacey Tank, CEO, Bespoke Beauty Brands and former chief transformation and corporate affairs officer, HEINEKEN
