Annie Laurie Sullivan received her PhD from Northwestern University’s Screen Cultures Program. She also holds an MA in cinema and comparative literature from the University of Iowa and a BA from the University of Michigan. She teaches courses on documentary, media ethics, film and television history, and race/identity in media.
Her research examines issues of race, mobility, and local documentary practice alongside broader processes of urban development and social change in urban centers.
