Patrick Finley has covered the Chicago Bears and the NFL for the Chicago Sun-Times since 2013.
He's won state journalism honors in Arizona, Florida, California Missouri and Illinois. Prior to coming to Chicago, he spent eight years covering University of Arizona basketball, football and the Pac-12 for the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, Ariz. He served as the newspaper's sports enterprise reporter. He began his journalism career at the Naples Daily News in Naples, Fla.
He attended the prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism, where he received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree.
In addition to writing news stories, features and columns for both the newspaper and its web site, Finley can be found yakking about the Bears on his podcast, “Halas Intrigue," which is published multiple times per week.
Finley lives in Evanston with his wife and little boy.
