Dorothy DeCarlo

Dorothy DeCarlo's professional career has given her a comprehensive understanding of marketing. She has worked in marketing for major networks, done global marketing in Japan, China, Italy, Denmark, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico and South America and has developed integrated marketing campaigns for major corporations in the United States (Jim Beam Spirits, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White SOX, ESPN, World Book and United Negro College Fund).

Her past experience has included:

  • Former director of marketing for ESPN Television
  • Global marketing for Underwriters Laboratories
  • NBC TV Network
  • John Blair Entertainment
  • Auditorium Theatre and marketing consultant to the entertainment industry

DeCarlo has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at DePaul University, Roosevelt University, Loyola University Chicago – Quinlan School of Business, and Illinois Institute of Technology – Stuart School of Business. She is a guest lecturer on sports marketing and ideation and created a digital marketing management seminar for Loyola University Chicago – Executive Education Program.

She has a BBA in marketing and accounting from Loyola University, Chicago and an MS in integrated marketing communications from Roosevelt University. She is currently in the Women’s Gender Studies graduate program at DePaul Universit​y.
