Benjamin Wiedmaier teaches courses in
Relational Communication focusing on courtship/dating, nonverbal communication, persuasion/social influence, quantitative methodologies, and theory development/critique, to name a few.
Wiedmaier’s research largely focuses on flirting, contemporary dating patterns, and the ways in which we influence/persuade one another in the early stages of romantic relationships (whatever those are, anymore).
In addition to his teaching with DePaul, Wiedmaier works at a mobile research start-up here in Chicago called dscout, helping researchers get the most of the tool.
