Our Goals

Support emerging and freelance journalists

Provide mentorship and workshops based on targeted assessments to help deepen skills and content creation ability.

Advance racial justice in media

Create space for dialogue, learning and action that challenges inequitable media practices and promotes narrative change by employing asset-framing, solutions journalism and other innovative journalism practices towards more inclusive storytelling.

Equip community storytellers

Connect DePaul journalism students, students from other universities, and non-journalist community members with Public Narrative's Chicago Independent Media Alliance members through networking activities, workshops, and other meaningful activities.
