The Slender Man takes on important cultural meanings in the age of the Internet - meanings often neglected when the crime version of the story went reported in the media.

Join Shira Chess, Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, and co-author of Folklore, Horror Stories, and the Slender Man, to discuss the origins of Slender Man, and to discover the impact of fandom on the original myth.

Presented by the College of Communication Media and Cinema Studies and Digital Communication and Media Arts programs.
