Senior Instructional Technology Consultant
Ashanti Morgan joined DePaul University in April 2011 as a senior instructional technology consultant. In this role, she works with Faculty Instructional Technology Services (FITS) and the College of Communication and is charged with supporting faculty in the development, design, and implementation of online courses.
Prior to joining DePaul, Ashanti worked for five years at Chicago Public Schools’ Information & Technology Services. While there, Ashanti was afforded opportunities ranging from managing and developing the distance education program to her final role, implementing a custom-built data management solution for district administrators.
Ashanti also worked at the U.S. Department of Education’s North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL) at Learning Point Associates (now American Institutes for Research) where she developed online learning support resources for at-risk high school students, a technology literacy curriculum, and web-based technology assessments.
Ashanti earned her MS in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University. She also obtained her BS in Organizational & Corporate Communication from Northern Illinois University.
With her free time, Ashanti enjoys reading, volunteering to teach technology wherever possible, and traveling with her husband and children.
