If you are interested in multiple fields of communication, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media is designed for you. While enrolled in this general degree program, you will learn the skills needed to become a reflective, knowledgeable and effective communicator. This program prepares you for employment in a broad range of communication careers, or for continuing your education in academic or professional post-graduate programs.

As part of your Communication and Media degree, you will complete three required core classes from your program of study. In addition, you will choose ten courses from two or more areas of study in the College of Communication, including: Communication Studies, Journalism, Media and Cinema Studies, Public Relations and Advertising, and up to two classes from Digital Cinema. You are also required to demonstrate competence in a modern language, either through previous studies or language courses taken at DePaul.

Online Learning

The B.A. in Communication and Media degree program also offers an online degree completion option​ where students can complete your second through fourth year courses entirely online.​
