Public Relations and Advertising (MA)

Recognized by the PRWeek Awards for three years running as one of the top five public relations programs in the U.S., the Master of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising (PRAD) at DePaul University prepares graduates for successful careers in the public relations, advertising and marketing communication fields. With a focus on digital, social and traditional media strategy and techniques, the program gives you the knowledge and know-how to work successfully as a professionally competent, socially responsible and globally conscious practitioner.

Classes emphasize the principles of strategy, relationship management, critical thinking, ethics, and creativity in public relations and advertising. Some of the nation's largest public relations firms and advertising agencies are based in Chicago, just minutes from DePaul classrooms. Students have plentiful opportunities to complete internships for credit with local organizations and/or network with industry professionals while studying for their degrees. 88% of our 2014 PRAD graduates were employed six months after degree completion.
