Journalism Student Ambassador

Lorraine Taylor

Lorraine Taylor
I come from the Mighty Midwest. I am a proud native of the Hoosier state. I spent four years living and working in Indianapolis as I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at Butler University. Although I am currently a Blue Demon, I will always be a Bulldawg at heart.

I made my way to the Windy City in September 2015 to pursue a master’s degree in Journalism at DePaul, and it’s proved to be a great adventure so far. Chicago has so much to offer. I feel that the Journalism program at DePaul prepares students to be professionals in a somewhat demanding and difficult field. I have learned practical skills that will allow me to jump right in to the profession after I graduate, and for that I am very grateful.

When I’m not honing my skills as a reporter at DePaul, I am spending time with my wonderful friends and family, my parents, and my beloved sassy gray cat. I also have a true passion for horses. I’ve been riding for 18 years, and one of my favorite places to be is competing in the show jumping ring.

I’m honored to serve as a graduate assistant for my program, and I’m here to help answer any questions you may have about the Journalism program at DePaul or about living in Chicago. I am happy to help. Please contact me with the form below.
