Health Communication alumna Melissa Akinlawon has been cited as one of the nation's top 40 Under 40 in Healthcare by the National Minority Quality Forum for her work with the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

Communication from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, with a special
focus on strategic communications. Her academic work focused on the
use of technology in the delivery of information regarding health
disparities, particularly that which impacted large at-risk populations
and minority communities."
