The DePaulia Launches New Website

The DePaulia, DePaul University’s official student newspaper, is proud to announce the launch of their new website that will bring an enriched online experience to the DePaul community and our readers.

The new website maintains the same domain name (depauliaonline.com) but places a stronger emphasis on images and multimedia content with featured slideshows and several large images on the homepage.

Editor-in-Chief Courtney Jacquin, a graduate journalism student who led the redesign project, is excited that this new platform will improve the experience for both readers and the students on staff.

“We are so proud to share this new website that we have been working on all summer,” Jacquin said. “We had always talked about updating our website, and now our new website reflects the high quality print edition we also put out every week. Additionally, by switching to the Wordpress platform our student editors are now working with an industry standard tool that will help prepare them for future jobs.”

This is the first website update for The DePaulia since 2009 when the newspaper switched over to College Publisher, which abruptly shut down at the end of last school year. That prompted the staff to build the new website over the summer in time to launch for the beginning of the school year.

Visit The DePaulia online, and also be sure to pick up this academic year's first issue, currently on newsstands across both campuses.
