2004 Graduate Wins National Award

Ben Welsh, 2004 DePaul graduate and database producer for the Los Angeles Times, won the Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Award for excellence in web reporting.  Since 1953, the foundation has recognized outstanding journalism and this year awarded Welsh and his team at the Los Angeles Times for the dynamic web site they created reporting on Mexico’s drug war.  To read a related story about Welsh in the DePaulia, click here.
